The club welcomes all of our recent new members…  I’m sure they will enjoy their time here and we do promise to look after them, helping on the pitch so that they enjoy every minute and learn.  Special welcome to our female players (more needed) and would like to build on numbers. We ask our existing members who feel are strong players to please partner up with newbies for encouragement and tips on how we roll.  We are organizing a beginners initiative soon so hopefully this will encourage more members..After all Tag Rugby is for everyone!  Thanks

Brian’s Coaching Tips No. 3

When you have possession of the ball always look around you while running to see where there is a gap and who is in support. Try to use your supporting players by sticking close by and not away from them. This means you have a better chance to score a try if you have support inside or outside of you. Using a dummy runner for a quick pass around the corner or a kick through, will provide further options to be successful.

Keeping Injury At Bay

We have noticed a few repeat injuries that pop up on odd occasions so there is still good reason to do a few stretches before every session we play. It is highly recommended everyone does a ‘Warm Up’ especially areas like wrists/thumbs, knees and calf muscles.
